FISH-NET Monitoring System

WHAT IS IT?

The wireless Fish-Net aquaculture monitoring system automates oxygen monitoring and control.  It includes solar powered buoys, aerator controllers, software and dissolved oxygen sensor.  The system is easy to install and alarms when maintenance is required.

Employing wireless communications, Fish-Net enables easy and flexible installations and reliable communications. Located at the home or office, the Master Station allows users to remotely view the status of multiple ponds, store data for historical records or trending reports, and receive SMS text or email alarm notifications, when values exceed the user-defined set points.

Simply put, whether you own a small, medium, or large aquaculture operation, Fish-Net will reduce operating costs, improve efficiency, and help maintain the health of your ponds and fish.

Features and Benefits

  • Local and remote DO monitoring with aerator control
  • Large touch screen display for easy viewing in sunlight or from several feet away
  • Aerator status and important information available at the controller
  • Monitor up to two (2) ponds with one controller and two (2) buoys
  • Two (2) temperature sensors, ambient air and water, for improved accuracy and DO calibrations
  • DO sensor is mounted above the water for extended life
  • Single water sample pump with adjustable time rate (10 Minute Default)
  • Dual radios for controller-to-buoy and controller-to-master communications
  • Two aeration setpoints for customized schedules (Day, Night, etc.)
  • Sunshield included for improved display visibility
  • Optional battery backup for controller and buoys

Save Time and Money

  • Improve fish production – consistent control of oxygen can improve feed conversion rates, minimize fish stress and reduce fish disease and mortality.
  • Reduce manual oxygen checks – drive less and stay informed of oxygen levels in every pond – 24 hours a day.
  • Improve aeration and control – automated control can reduce energy expenses and wear on equipment.
  • Qualify for grants and credits – USDA grants for energy efficient systems and solar tax credits reduce cost.

Minimize Risk

  • Stay informed – receive real-time updates by phone, email or text message.
  • Reduce failures – wireless operation reduces potential damages – lightning strikes, mowers and exposed wiring.
  • Monitor aerator operation – the system continuously reports amperage draw of aerator motors.
